Mines+ Slot Review: 97.5% RTP and a 5M+ Max Win Game

Mines+ slot review: what you are actually playing

This Mines+ slot review starts with a warning. Mines+ is not a reel slot. There are no paylines, no free spins and no wild symbols.

Pragmatic Play slots usually lean on animation and layered bonus rounds. Mines+ does the opposite. The look is clean and minimal, with glowing tiles on a dark, space-style backdrop.

That focus is why it earns a strong score from us. It is a small game with a very large ceiling, and it is honest about what it is.

How a round works

Before each round you set your stake and choose how many mines to hide on the board. The range runs from 1 to 24. You then click tiles one at a time. A diamond raises your multiplier.

You can cash out after any safe pick, so the round ends when you decide it does. A random pick button chooses a tile for you if you want a faster pace, and an autoplay mode lets you automate runs.

The round has no animation to sit through and no waiting for a feature to trigger. You can finish a round in seconds, which makes the demo a quick way to learn the game.

Mine count is the real feature

Pragmatic Play has not added the usual extras. There is no bonus buy, no tumbling reels, no Megaways and no progressive jackpot.

With one or two mines, almost every tile is safe. Each diamond adds only a small amount to your multiplier, so you collect small, frequent returns.

The payout curve is not a straight line. Early picks add little, and later picks add more. That is why disciplined cash-out habits matter more here than in most games.

Mines+ RTP and volatility

The published Mines+ RTP is 97.50%. Pragmatic Play also notes that some combinations of player choices can return up to 98.28%.

Volatility is the awkward part. Our database lists Mines+ as Low, and several catalogues agree. In practice it is closer to player-controlled. A low mine count plays like a low-volatility game.

Treat the volatility label as a starting point rather than a rule. Your own settings decide how the game behaves.

Remember that RTP is a long-run average across a huge number of rounds. It does not describe a single session, and it does not mean you will get 97.5% back from a given deposit.

Mines+ max win explained

The Mines+ max win is 5,070,293x your stake. It is the headline number, and it is enormous.

The multiplier peaks at 12 or 13 mines, not at the highest mine count. At 12 mines, 13 tiles are safe. Clearing all of them has odds of roughly 1 in 5.2 million per round.

We rate the ceiling very highly because it is extraordinary for a game with this much control. We also want you to be realistic. Almost nobody will ever clear a board with 12 mines.

Mines+ demo and free play

The Mines+ demo is the best way to understand the game before you stake anything. Try the same board with 3 mines, then 10, then 15. Cash out early on some runs and push on in others.

Mines+ free play is also useful for testing a plan. Decide in advance how many safe picks you will take, then see whether you can stick to that number. Many players find this harder than expected.

Pragmatic Play offers free play on its own game page, and ReelRadar lists demos alongside our reviews. Check the information panel on any real-money site too.

Strengths and weaknesses

The strengths are clear. The RTP is high, the rules take a minute to learn, and the stake range suits both small and large budgets.

The weaknesses are just as clear. There is no story, no feature chase and no bonus round, so the game can feel repetitive if you want spectacle. A single wrong click ends the round.

Fast rounds also make it easy to play too many of them. Set a session limit before you start and keep to it.

Our score: 6.2 out of 10

Our score gives most of its weight to the Mines+ max win, which is among the biggest we track. The RTP adds a solid amount. Volatility earns a small score because the database lists it as Low.

If you want layered bonus rounds, look elsewhere. If you like a pure decision game with a huge ceiling, Mines+ is one of the strongest Pragmatic Play releases for that style.
