Cash Pool Slot Review: A Plain Scratch Card, A Huge Top Prize

Cash Pool slot review: what you are actually buying

This Cash Pool slot review starts with a warning about the label. Cash Pool is not a reel slot.

The theme is a swimming pool with colourful floaters on the water. Each floater hides a number, and your job is to uncover a match. There are no reels, paylines or cascades, and no story.

If you want the layered mechanics found in many Hacksaw Gaming slots, this is the wrong game. If you want something that takes about five seconds per round, read on.

How a round of Cash Pool plays

The card is a 3x3 grid, so nine hidden numbers sit under the surface. Uncover three identical numbers and you are paid that amount as a multiple of your stake. Anything short of a match pays nothing.

You can scratch by hand, which is slow but gives you a moment of suspense. You can also use a reveal-all option that shows the whole card at once.

The stake is fixed. Our data lists the minimum and maximum bet as the same figure, 1.5 units, so there is no bet ladder to climb.

Cash Pool RTP and max win

Our database lists the Cash Pool RTP at 92.02%. That is low next to the 96% range most Hacksaw Gaming slots publish.

RTP figures for this title are not consistent across the web. Some listings show a much lower number, and some operators run their own versions.

The Cash Pool max win is listed in our data at 150,000x the stake. At the fixed 1.5 price, that is a top prize of 225,000 units.

Either way, the shape of the prize table matters more than the headline. In scratch cards the top prize is usually very rare and sits far above everything else.

Volatility: swingy by design

No official volatility rating is published for Cash Pool, so this is our judgement. A three-of-a-kind format with a very large top prize behaves like a high-volatility game.

That fits our house preference for high-variance games with big ceilings. The trouble is the price you pay for it here.

Hit frequency is not published either. Use the demo to get a feel for how often a card pays anything at all.

Features: there are none, and that is the point

Cash Pool has no bonus round, free spins, wilds or scatters. It has no bonus buy, and it has no Megaways, tumbling reels, growing multipliers or progressive jackpot.

That makes the game easy to learn, but it leaves very little to review. Our features score is zero because there is nothing to score. Everything rests on the paytable and your luck on each card.

Autoplay is the one convenience on offer in many Hacksaw Gaming scratch cards. Check whether your casino enables it for this title. If it does, set a session limit before you start.

Cash Pool demo and free play

The best way to judge Cash Pool is to try the Cash Pool demo first.

Our demo on ReelRadar lets you try Cash Pool free play without signing up.

Remember that a demo does not predict real results. Rounds are random, and a lucky run in free play says nothing about what will happen when you stake real money.

Who should play it

Cash Pool suits players who want a quick, low-effort card and accept that most rounds will lose.

It does not suit players who want feature-rich bonus rounds, a flexible bet size or an RTP in the mid-90s.

On crypto casinos, a fixed stake of 1.5 units will convert to different amounts depending on the coin and the operator's currency settings. Check the real cost of a card before you buy it.

Our score: 5 out of 10

We give Cash Pool 5 out of 10. The listed max win earns the most points, since a 150,000x ceiling is the kind of reach our house view rewards.

The design is clean and the theme is cheerful, but the game offers little depth. It is a competent scratch card and not a standout.

Slots and scratch cards are random, and no game can promise a win. Gamble responsibly, set limits you can afford, and play only if you are 18 or older.
